Editorial standards
Our articles and guides inform real financial decisions, so we hold them to a professional standard. Here is how we research, review and keep our content accurate.
Who writes and reviews our content
Every article is written and reviewed by the Philippou tax and advisory team — qualified accountants and tax advisers who handle Cyprus corporate and personal tax, VAT, payroll and audit coordination day to day. Tax-technical articles carry a named author byline and, where relevant, a senior reviewer.
How we research
We base every figure, rate and deadline on primary, authoritative sources — the Cyprus Tax Department, the Registrar of Companies, the Social Insurance Services, ICPAC, EU directives and the official 2026 tax-reform legislation — supplemented by the Big-Four Cyprus tax guides (PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, EY). Sources are linked at the foot of each article.
Accuracy and the 2026 framework
All figures on this site reflect the Cyprus tax framework in force for 2026 (corporate income tax 15%, the €22,000 tax-free band, the reduced 5% SDC on dividends for domiciled residents, the non-dom exemption, the IP Box effective ~3%, the 8% rate on crypto-asset gains, and the €15,600 VAT threshold). Where a point is genuinely uncertain or in transition, we say so rather than state it as settled.
How we keep it current
Tax content dates quickly. Every page shows a visible "Last updated" date that matches the dateModified in its structured data, and we review the core tax pages at least quarterly and after any Budget or legislative change. When we make a substantive update, we bump the date.
General information, not advice
Our content is general information based on the current Cyprus framework and is not a substitute for tailored professional advice. Your circumstances matter — speak to us before acting on anything you read here.
